The first WHACK was produced in 1996 under a different title and over the last twelve years, and twenty-two issues, has grown in size, depth, popularity and importance.
From a sixteen page black and white rag with a small run size, WHACK has evolved into a forty-eight page flagship publication, with higher production values, a larger run size and a comprehensive distribution strategy which covers all of Victoria and selected organisations nationally. WHACK magazine, when unhindered by external forces, is a quartely publication.
