VIVAIDS, the Victorian Drug User Organisation, is a community-based,
not-for-profit incorporated association, founded in 1987 in deirect
response to the threat of an HIV/AIDS epidemic among people who use
drugs in Australia.
Since then, VIVAIDS' focus has expanded to include
a wide range of health and social issues including the Hepatitis C
epidemic, drug-related overdose, addressing emerging harms associated
with the use of party-drugs and amphetamine-type substances, opioid
substitution pharmacotherapies and other need and issues as they arise.
